Holy Baptism (Christening)

Who can be baptised?
Anyone can - young or old.  If an adult or teenager then Holy Baptism is carried out with the Sacrament of Confirmation. We offer Holy Baptism (also known as Christening) to anyone who lives or worships regulary in one of the parishes.

Baptism takes place during the Sunday morning service. Please contact the administrator to check for dates and requirements admin@holsworthybenefice.org.uk

Do I need to have been coming regularly to Church in order for my child to be baptised?
It does help, but is not necessary for a baby or young child.

As an adult do I need to regularly attend Church in order to be baptised?
If an adult, attending the Eucharist, also known as Mass or Holy Communion, is an important part of confirming your faith.

Church for babies, children and those not used to church.
Everyone is welcome at all our sevices.
If you have not been to church recently you could give Creative Church a go.
Creative Church is an informal, cafe style church, with lots for all ages to do.
It takes place in Holsworthy Parish Church for all five churches on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 3.30pm.
